About Our Family

We're the Kims, a blended and mixed family who traveled the world full-time from August 2024 to July 2025. Our names are Elliot, Mary Beth, Sofia (age 10) and Lexi (age 1.5).

 

After the death of our beloved dog Bella in May 2024, we decided to fulfill our lifelong dream of traveling the world. We were in a unique position with money saved up, no debt, and no job location restraints. Luckily in the USA, we have the option to homeschool our children, too. So in August 2024, we left our home in Georgia and started our trip in Europe with 9-year old Sofia and 4-month old Lexi.

The goal in documenting our travels is to encourage families that it's possible to travel with kids and enjoy it! While not always easy, we've learned that the benefits of being together and creating core memories greatly outweigh any negatives. We share what we've learned on the road so that you can avoid our mistakes and have an extraordinary trip!​​
